What Are The Clinical Manifestation Of IgA Nephropathy

2018-09-03 10:44

Clinical Manifestation,IgA Nephropathy1. Paroxysmal gross hematuria

It is more common in children. Gross hematuria usually occurs after upper respiratory tract infections (tonsillitis, etc.), and some occurs after acute gastroenteritis or urinary tract infections, with intervals of 24-72 hours. Gross hematuria lasts for several hours to several days and then turns to persistent microscopic hematuria. Hematuria may disappear in some patients, but often occurs. The recurrence of gross hematuria may be accompanied by mild systemic symptoms, such as muscle soreness, urinary pain, lumbago, or transient elevation of blood pressure and urea nitrogen.

2. Microscopic hematuria and asymptomatic proteinuria

This is the main clinical manifestation of IgA nephropathy in children and adolescents, often found in physical examination, can be manifested as simple microscopic hematuria, or microscopic hematuria with a small amount of proteinuria.

3. Proteinuria

For mild proteinuria, the urinary protein content is generally 1g / 24h, a small number of patients may have a large number of proteinuria and even nephrotic syndrome.

Other IgA nephropathy patients may have nephrotic syndrome, rapid progressive nephritis syndrome, renal failure, a small number of waist and/or abdominal pain with hematuria. Factors related to the prognosis of IGA nephropathy:

The prognosis of male patients is relatively poor.

Persistent hematuria with proteinuria is a poor prognosis.

Moderate or severe proteinuria often indicates that the development of renal dysfunction eventually leads to poor prognosis. However, IgA nephropathy manifested as nephrotic syndrome patients, if the pathological changes of renal tissue slight, response to glucocorticoid treatment is good, good prognosis.

Patients with IgA nephropathy have high blood pressure, especially difficult to control severe hypertension, with poor prognosis.

Pregnancy is generally safe in IgA nephropathy patients without hypertension or impaired renal function.
