Loss of protein from the blood into the urine includes loss of proteins that help prevent clotting. So the patients are prone to develop thrombus and embolism.

Chronic renal failure

Acute renal failure

In some serious cases of membranous nephropathy, wastes may accumulate in blood quickly, leading to acute renal failure. If so, dialysis has to be used to remove the wastes from body.
